Full-Stack Engineer — Voice Platform

As a Full-Stack Engineer on the Voice Platform team, you will be responsible for building the product surface that brings our world-class speech synthesis and AI audio models to millions of users. You will bridge the gap between our high-performance research backend and a seamless, low-latency user experience across our web application and developer dashboard. This role is critical in making complex generative voice technology intuitive, reliable, and accessible for creators and enterprise partners worldwide.

- Lead the development of new product features for the ElevenLabs Speech Synthesis and Voice Lab platforms. - Optimize the end-to-end performance of our web applications to ensure instantaneous audio playback and manipulation. - Design and maintain robust, type-safe APIs that power both our internal frontend and public developer offerings. - Collaborate with AI researchers to integrate cutting-edge low-latency models into production-ready user interfaces. - Build and scale our developer portal, focusing on API key management, usage analytics, and documentation. - Improve the reliability and observability of our frontend and backend TypeScript services. - Participate in code reviews and advocate for engineering best practices across the entire stack.

- At least 5 years of experience building mission-critical web applications in high-growth environments. - Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind. - Deep experience with Node.js and building high-throughput, low-latency APIs. - Proven track record of architecting scalable systems on AWS, GCP, or similar cloud providers. - Experience handling real-time data streams and binary data (WebSockets, audio streaming, or gRPC). - Minimalist approach to product design with a strong eye for UI/UX details and performance optimization. - Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, distributed team across multiple time zones.
