Multilingual AI Trainer — Freelance (Remote — Worldwide)

Join Outlier to push the boundaries of Large Language Models by acting as a human-in-the-loop expert for multilingual AI training. In this role, you will help refine and improve AI responses in your native language through rigorous RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) methodologies. Your work will directly impact how models understand nuance, cultural context, and complex linguistic structures, ensuring AI safety and accuracy for global users.

- Evaluate and rank AI-generated responses based on accuracy, relevance, and safety guidelines. - Rewrite or edit machine-generated text to ensure natural flow, grammatical correctness, and cultural nuance. - Provide detailed feedback and justifications for ratings to help developers identify model hallucinations or biases. - Participate in prompt engineering tasks to test the limits of model capabilities in your native language. - Stay updated on project-specific guidelines and adapt quickly to shifting quality standards. - Collaborate with project managers via asynchronous communication tools to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data.

- Native-level proficiency or fluency in a target language (e.g., German, French, Hindi, Japanese, etc.) and professional-level English. - Strong educational background, preferably with a degree in linguistics, translation, or a related field. - Ability to distinguish subtle differences in tone, factual accuracy, and cultural appropriateness in AI outputs. - Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace for focused, asynchronous tasks. - Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow complex, evolving evaluation rubrics. - Prior experience in content moderation, transcription, or professional writing is highly preferred. - Must be a self-starter comfortable with independent work and meeting consistent quality targets.
